Please join the Kentucky Department of Education, in conjunction with the Kentucky Science and Technology Corporation and the 2008 IDEA Festival, as we welcome the President and Executive Director from the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) and the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA).
Presenters will focus on the Mathematics Focal Points and the Science Anchors projects. With an increased emphasis and awareness of the need to improve the teaching, learning, and pursuit of careers in sciences and mathematics in the 21st century, it is imperative that key stakeholders have the latest information regarding national initiatives that impact education both locally and nationally. These projects will likely have a profound influence on mathematics and science education at all levels.
The presentation will take place at the Louisville International Convention Center on September 13, 2007, from 9:30 AM EDT until noon. Please register no later than September 10, 2007, at the following website: http://oapd.kde.state.ky.us/nctm/if.htm
